Getting Started

The technologies within Swiss Experiment are not only available to SwissEx partners. Although we cannot provide a great deal of support to external projects, we actively welcome you to use the infrastructure and benefit from what we have produced. We also welcome external queries about the sensor technology based projects.

Accessing Data

The Data Access Portal is accessible from the image on the front page or the left hand menu. This will immediately take you to a database of fieldsites. From here there is also a link to the web interfaces for the real time data.

Database of Fieldsites

The fieldsite database has been created to provide information on where data is being gathered and what kind of measurements are taking place. The database page in fact shows two queries on this database (one in map form and one in table form). To create your own query, simply create a new page (you can either use the password given on the fieldsite page or email the administrator for your own password) and copy and edit the query used in the main database page (examples are given here).

Real Time Data

Real time data from some of the fieldsites shown in the database are available through various options shown on the real time data page, linked from the data access portal. For more information on how data is stored within the infrastructure, see here.
