Blogpost4cb5c0c 245540123 July 2010 HWRM sensor scope deployment started Since 5 July 2010 the HWRM sensor scope station have been moved to the slopes above Zermatt. 6 stations are placed between 'Furi' and 'Schwarzsee' and 7 stations are placed between 'Furgg' and 'Trockener Steg'. Automatic transmission of data was not possible for two stations due to long distance between the stations. Date from these stations are downloaded manually. read more
Blogpost6894bb1 245534831 May 2010 APUNCH summer 2010 deployment started The APUNCH-team has successfully deployed all sensor scope station in the Matter valley. Since 4 May all sensor scope stations are working. The deployment is planned until end of July. read more
Blogpost8e3b50b 245531326 April 2010 APUNCH-team summer 2010 deployment The APUNCH-team will deploy all sensor scope station for the summer 2010 deployment at the end on April 2010 (if weather conditions are reasonable). An update on this activity will be given here. read more
Blogpost58bb2bb 245531326 April 2010 APUNCH-team News update (Soil moisture comparison) The APUNCH-team has performed a sensor comparison experiment during which soil moisture sensors of HWRM, Eawag and IAC were compared. The data is currently being analyzed. Update on this activity will be given here asap. read more

Blogpost8ad2ff4 24550772 September 2009 APUNCH-team News update (End of summer 2009 deployment) The APUNCH-team has successfully deployed all main stations in the Vispatal and assemble all sensor scope stations during summer and fall 2009. The data has been successfully stored at a backup disc at HWRM and aggregated data sets have been mada available to the GSN server. The summer 2009 deployment ended in November 2009 (all Main stations are heated and were deployed during the entire winter season). read more
Blogpost197ebee 245502916 July 2009 The APUNCH-team is going to the Vispertal During the last three months the APUNCH-team managed to install all main stations in the Vispatal and assemble all sensor scope stations. Now the team is eager to go test also the sensor scope stations in their study site area. The start of the first deployment is planned for 23 July 2009. The team was also active in making the data available to the broad public. A powerful Celsius W370 PC was bought and a GSN server was installed. The APUNCH-team has now the capabilities to provide the broad public with important meteorological products such as: * Nowcasting tool based on X-band radar data * Calibrated X-Band radar maps * Rainfall based hazard indexes * Data disaggregation techniques (space – time) * Precipitation field maps based on multisensoral precipitation measurements * Inference of statistical and scaling properties of precip. data Although these products are still under development and might perhaps only be available by the end of 2010, the team is confident that it will produce valuable products for the scientific community and the public in general.
