Anemometer

The Distributed Intelligent Systems and Algorithms Laboratory, DISAL at EPFL is developing an anemometer for SwissEx.

• 6 temperature sensitive resistors (NTCs)
• microcontroller reads resistance of all 6 NTCs
• on board log-likelihood model maps measured temperatures to incident angle of the wind

Characteristics:

• high resolution at low wind speeds (<5m/s)
• no moving parts
• low power consumption
• I2C connection
