Instruments used within the APUNCH-project

6 Reference stations

Each station includes:

• Rain and Snow intensity sensor (TRwS 200E)

• Wind Sensor (WMT52)

• Temperature sensor (integrated in TRwS 200E)

Parameters:

• Precipitation (Accuracy: ±0.1%)

• Temperature (Accuracy: ±0.5°C)

• Wind speed (Accuracy: ±0.3 m/s or ±3 %)

• Wind direction (Accuracy: ±3°)

All parameters are registered with a temp. res. of 1min

11 sensor scope stations + 2 master sensor scope stations

Parameters:

• Precipitation (Accuracy: ±4%)

• Air temperature (Accuracy: ±0.3°C)

• Soil temp. (Accuracy: ±1°C)

• Wind speed (Accuracy: ±5%)

• Wind direction (Accuracy: ±7°)

• soil moisture (Accuracy: ±3%)

• Rel. humidity (Accuracy: ±1.8%)

All parameters are registered with a temp. res. of 1min

• Measured data is sent to 2 master stations equipped with GPRS

X-Band radar

(currently in repair)

Technical information:

• X-band, 3.2cm wavelength at 9.4GHz

• Maximum range: 60km

• Resolution: from 100 to 500m in space and 1 min in time
